I’m Michael Allar, a poor and lazy professional.

Being raised in the lower social economic class, I have developed a true sense of what is practical; and therefore try to be as impractical as possible. Given any task, I will accomplish it, but most likely in a way you would never expect. Sometimes I breed innovation, other times, simply unseen faster ways to do things. Sure, the means will generally be very messy and covered in the blood of one of every animal, but my end results are always solid and professional works.

Graduate of Fullerton High School, Class of ‘08,, I am currently a student at The Art Institute of Orange County, located in Santa Ana, and is possibly the least cost effective Visual Game Programming private school ever built. As of this writing, I am completing my 7th quarter and my programming classes have taught me the sum total of nothing in which my past programming experience has not already taught me. Hopefully this will change, but in the mean time I am working on various side programming projects to keep my head spinning as I continue schooling.

Here you will find my experiments, struggles, rantings, successes and failures in regards to my programming projects. I am mainly focusing on a XNA Framework dubbed Forecourse, which I am attempting to build as platform-independent as possible so that the main core of the framework will work with native DirectX as well, along with XNA for Xbox 360. I know that many libraries and frameworks already exist for XNA, but as a student majoring in Visual Game Programming, I believe it would be portfolio building if I built a small framework and possibly games based off this framework from scratch.

As a student, my code may or may not be the most efficient, suitable, practical, etc… But if you stumble upon methods that I use that are well-written/horribly done, please comment and criticize my work so that I may learn from it.
